Fast Clamp Rack 036

Share it with your friends Like

For these of us which have a couple of clamps laying across the store it may be an actual ache within the neck to dig by means of a pile to get to to the clamp you need whereas performing a glue up. Immediately I constructed an excellent easy, simple clamp rack that holds all of my parallel clamps, f-style clamps and fast clamps all it one low profile location. I used a number of wooden glue, the drill press, desk noticed and a few hand drills to construct this fast wooden clamp rack.

Some instruments I used on this challenge:
FastCap 16ouncesGlue Bot

Swanson Mini Mixture Sq.

Bessey Fast Clamps

FastCap Tape Measure

EDC Belt Carry

Video on how you made lower clamp rack?

Zane H says:

Good quick rack design, only change I would do was when you pocket screwed the backboard on put the pockets at the rear side this way you don't see them from the front.

I saw you sprinkling something during the glue-up (laminating the plywood) and a poster below referred to the "salt trick". Can you explain what this is and how it works?

Frank B says:

My contractor used some bizarre concrete mix when he poured my basement. It is almost impossible to drill it to put an anchor in. I need a free standing rack if some sort.

ghostdog662 says:

Nice job. I'll be doing something very similar to your method.

Looks great

MRrwmac says:

Nice well thought out rack. BUT. What no pipe or spring clamps in your shop?

Larry Siroky says:

Nice Rack! Simple elegant design. I just noticed that if you want to make a change in your shop it requires a lots of drilling into cinder block which is a royal pain. just a suggestion, have you ever thought of putting up furring strips and a wall(maybe out of OSB or ply). The minimal you give up on square footage would be dramatically offset by the flexibility of changing things up. Just a thought. Keep up the really nice work.

Sota Pop's woodshop says:

What size drill bit are you using for the bar clamps?? Awesome video

James Bushey says:

Who knew so many clamps were necessary to make a clamp rack? You should patent that board stretcher 🙂
