Building a Roubo Workbench | Part 7

Share it with your friends Like

In this video, I am getting the underframe all glued up and ready for the top to be attached.

This is not a ‘How-To’ series as I recognise not everyone is fortunate enough to have access to the machinery that I do. However, if you are planning a build similar to this or any of my other projects, please feel free to drop me a question here or on other social media platforms and I’ll do my best to give you a hand!

My Website:

My name is Matt Estlea, I’m a 22 year old Woodworker from Basingstoke in England and my aim is to make your woodworking less s***.

I come from 5 years tuition at Rycotewood Furniture Centre and 4 years experience working at Axminster Tools and Machinery where I still currently work on weekends. During the week, I film woodworking projects, tutorials, reviews and a viewer favourite ‘Tool Duel’ where I compare two cometitive manufacturers tools against one another to find out which is best.

I like to have a laugh and my videos are quite fast paced BUT you will learn a lot, I assure you.

Lets go make a mess.

Where do you get access to these high end machinery?

BigBoss 429 says:

Beautiful workbench Matt, did you make it for yourself?

I love watching wood working videos as I've retired from the construction industry. You do very high quality work….which is aided by the shop's high quality tools….however a person must know how to utilize the available tools, which you do very well! I look forward to each of your projects….and I just subscribed.
However, I don't like the music, because I can't hear your "tools talking as they work". From my standpoint omit the music or at least bring it down just to barely audible (I listen to a music video if I want to hear music). If the music becomes unbearable for my, I don't have to watch….just my 2 cent opinion.
Remember, it's YOUR CHANNEL and you can do as you please. (EnglesCoachShop/YouTube has the music level about right….for me)
Thanks for some nice work!

was wondering… do you have the ability to do everything you've shown to us viewers but without access to all the campus toys?
it is quite a different story to do all this work without such accurate tools. looking forward to your videos from home and thank you for all the time and effort you've given to us. it was a pleasure to watch. 🙂

yes wood working is the best exercise in patience and it looks like you handled most of it well. great job 🙂

Matt, I'm impressed with your work and this series on making the roubo workbench, but….. What's the deal with the farting noise every time a banner for social media appears?
